I don’t know what it is about abs that everyone is gaga
about, I am gaga about abs and I can’t explain why. Guys used to be the only one's who wanted ripped abs in the years gone by but now even girls want 6 pack abs now; they no longer just
want to have a flat belly. We are in the middle of 6 pack revolution I tell
you. So let me stop trying to figure out why we all love abs and get down to
the business of how to get abs because that’s what I know.
I believe that in order to get abs most people need to do
three things. These three things are having a healthy diet that restricts fat
gain, having a proper abs workout program and doing some cardio in the end to
put the finishing touches to your mid-section. All these three things are
important if you are serious about having cover model abs.
Simple Nutrition Tactic
The diet should not be too strict that you struggle to make
it a part of your lifestyle; you just need to make healthy choices when it
comes to what you eat. Having a healthy home cooked meal instead of a fast-food
cheeseburger for example. To be healthy you should stay away from processed
foods. You should not avoid fat completely it is not the enemy; know your good
fat such as omega 3 fat from your bad fat often found in processed goods. Also
you should be aware that over eating any of the three macronutrient groups, be
it protein, fat or carbohydrates will result in fat gain as all foods contain
calories. Also so it is easier to burn off fat, always eat less on your less
active days and eat more during days when you workout, preferably before and
after your workouts so that you use that food as energy. Also consider eating
the bulk of your food earlier in the day so that you use it throughout the
whole day instead of it being stored as fat by your body. The point I am trying
to make is that you don’t have to be in a very restrictive diet to lose weight
to just have to have smart nutritional planning.

Many people say that abs are made in the kitchen, well I
think that is the wrong way of looking at it. Abs are made by training them so
that they form the cut and so they become developed and thick, the nutrition
side only makes sure that your abs are visible by restricting fat in your
abdominal region. If you did not train abs and just had a good nutrition plan
you would just have a flat stomach, not impressive cover model abs.
To get well developed abs, train them as often as you can.
Don’t worry, unlike other muscles abs recover much faster except for your first
few ab workouts, even then after a while it will be easy. Aim for at least 3 ab
workouts per week. Always target the different regions of your abs that is your
upper abs, lower abs and oblique’s. Targeting all abdominal regions will give
you the complete cover model abs look. Train your abs using both weighted ab
exercises and bodyweight ab exercises, the weighted abs exercises give you more
thickness in less reps. You should train your abs after your workout sessions
so it works as a sort of cardio as well. Combining a bunch of abs exercises to
form a workout in which you take no breaks for about 10-15 minutes is a good
way to burn fat and builds your abs. With the body-weight abs exercises like
knee/leg raises or sit-ups it’s a good idea to aim to do more than 20reps per
exercise, you get more in return for your effort.
Choose a Form of
Cardio You Can Stick With
Some people do not require this last step, but not everyone
has been blessed with a fast metabolism, most people have to do this last bit
called cardio to reveal the fruit of their labour. There are hundreds of things
you can do you get your blood pumping and your sweat on. You should choose a
form of cardio which you can stick with on the long run. If you like running,
do that. If you are an outdoorsy person cycle and jog outside instead of in the
gym. If you hate that slow pace cardio, do sprint or keep alternating between
sprinting on the bike and just relaxed pedalling every few minutes. You can
jump rope; play a game of soccer with friends, swim but whatever you choose to
do you should love it.
